Ethiopia’s Tadu Nare defended her Spar Grand Prix women’s 10km race at Green Point Stadium in Cape Town on Sunday, 23 October 2022.

She displayed an impressive victory, clocking 31:53 finishing her campaign at the top of the leaderboard with 179 points.

The 21-year-old Nare walked away with prize money of R190 000 for winning the series on overall points.

Her compatriot Salem Gabre finished second in a time of 32:18 with 170 points, meanwhile Namibian veteran Helalia Johannes finished in 32:21 with 145 points to conclude the podium.

Kesa Molotsane was the first South African as she came in fourth place at 33:15, and takes home R10 000.
