Yolande de Villiers and Ischen Stopforth’s 2nd place finish on stage 3 was enough to lift the Rocky Mountain Garden Route 300 MTN title in Knysna today, their stage 1 and 2 victories giving them enough momentum to take the win over bizhub’s Catherine Williamson & Nicci Grobler in second place.
Women’s Sevens in the Spotlight
SARU has announced a squad of 12 to play in a Sevens tournament in China later month. This will serve as a warm up tournament for the SA women’s team in preparation for the first tournament of the inaugural World Sevens series that kicks off at the end of November in Dubai.

Local Girls Open Cape Epic Lead
Team Duravit have clinched their fourth stage win on day 4 of the 2007 Absa Cape Epic, with team members Anke Erlank-Moore and Yolandè de Villiers crossed the finish line in Barrydale after four and three-quarter hours, close to a half-hour ahead of stage runners-up Kristine and Anna-Sofie Noergaard (Denmark).
