The Elite Women’s podium at the Pick ‘n Pay Amashovashova on Sunday showcased (from left) Marissa van der Merwe (third), Anriette Schoeman (first) and Lynette Burger (second). Dome2Dome Title Race Wide Open
Anriëtte Schoeman (Right, Proline) is counted among the experienced warhorses to continue battle against a new crop of young guns, including Lynnette Burger (Left, Cyclelab). The retirement of three women in the past three months has left the race for the woman’s title wide open in Sunday’s PowerAde Dome2Dome Cycling Spectacular.
No Stopping Anriette in Fifth Win
Team Proline Computers continued their dominance in ladies cycling when they won their third Classic in three weeks, and Anriette Schoeman proved to be back in form when she stormed to her third Cansa Lost City win on Saturday, making it her fifth Classic win this year.
Marissa’s Mountain Bike Challenge
Marissa van der Merwe won the Subaru Lost City Mountain-Bike Challenge over an extremely fast 50km course, to make it two out of two on the weekend for her team, following Anriette Schoeman’s victory in the road race the previous day.

Robyn Wins First National Classic
Elite ladies participated in the Anatomic Jock National Classic in Mpumalanga for the first time this past weekend, and the ladies teams contesting the 150km route included Proline Computers, C Bist and Harmony.
