Nabeehah Makes History
Fighter Nabeehah Sayed made history for South Africa, when she became the first person to bring home a gold medal from the WAKO (World Association of Kickboxing Organizations) World Championships, which took place in Naples, Italy from 24-27 September 2008, where she represented a 66-member Springbok team, along with her coach and cousin, Irshaad Sayed.

My name is Nabeehah Sayed and I am a Thaiboxer. Since I was very young, I have always loved participating in sport. I play soccer at school level and have participated in 2 show jumping competitions. I am a keen surfer and played U16 cricket for the Western province in 2006.

Woman Warriors Win in the Ring
The first “Fight Girls” South Africa All-Women’s Thaiboxing tournament held in Cape Town on Saturday 4th August was a huge success, with women from all over the country competing in this special event, adding to the profile of the Thaiboxing sport, and South Africa’s talented women fighters.
