Striker Joanne Solomons scored a hat trick and captain Portia Modise picked up a brace as the national women’s soccer team, Banyana Banyana, thumped Lesotho 9-nil in their opening COSAFA Cup encounter in Zambia yesterday.
SA Qualify for African Women’s Champs
South Africa have beaten Tanzania 4-nil to qualify for the African Women’s Championship in Nigeria. Today’s win in Dar es Salaam gave Banyana Banyana a 7-0 aggregate victory.
