The 21st Johannesburg SPAR 10km Challenge was the most successful yet with twelve and a half thousand people participating at the Old Parktonian Sports Club in Randburg on Sunday, 14 October, 2012.
Van Blerk Wins SPAR 10Km Challenge
Irvette van Blerk has won the Johannesburg SPAR 10Km Challenge on Sunday morning, ending in second place in the 2012 Grand Prix series behind her teammate Rene Kalmer, who withdrew for injury.

Rene Kalmer’s dream of becoming the first person to win all five SPAR 10km races in one year has been dashed after she pulled out of the Johannesburg SPAR 10Km race this morning. Kalmer has Achilles tendinosis and is now concentrating on recovering from the injury
