The South African Sailing Youth National Championships were sailed at Aeolians and Stilbaai Yacht Clubs at Vaaldam between 12 – 22 December 2006, in a number of classes to cater for all disciplines and age groups.

Best Beach Clean-Up Ever

The 2006/2007 Vodacom Beach Clean Up campaign has surpassed expectations by clearing a total of 43, 914 bags of marine litter from the South African coastline over the festive season. The project started on December 16 and ran until January 8 at twenty-three selected beaches, and provided work for over 240 previously unemployed individuals.

Kahuna Postponed

The second and final day of the Kahuna Surf Series event for novice surfers has been rescheduled to take place at Muizenberg Corner on Saturday 14 October after organisers were forced to postpone the contest last Sunday due to the tiny 30cm (1 foot) waves.
