Springboks Finish Fourth at Nations Cup

The Springboks women’s rugby team was not able to repeat their heroics against USA, when they were beaten 29-9 by the Eagles in the third/fourth place playoff match at the IRB Women’s Nations Cup in Canada on Saturday.

SARU Picks Squad of 24 for Senior Nations Cup in Canada

The South African Rugby Union has announced a squad of 24 players for the senior Women’s Nations Cup tournament in Toronto, Canada from 2 – 14 August. There are six players in the squad who did not participate in the 2010 IRB Women’s World Cup tournament in England.

Sevens Side for Uganda Unveiled

  The South African Rugby Union has announced a 10-member Emerging Seven’s Women’s Team for a short two-match tour to Kampala, Uganda, which departs on June 15th.  

South Africa 0-36 Kazakhstan

South Africa faced Kazakhstan in the cold morning rain as both teams were hungry for their first win in the tournament. Excellent handling in the backs, despite wet frigid weather, gave Kazakhstan early momentum and they never slowed down in the 36-0 shutout.
