SPAR Champs to Kick Off

  More than 650 netball players will gather in Durban next week for the annual SPAR National Netball Championships, which takes place at KwaZulu-Natal University’s Howard College campus from August 6 to 11.  

Border Win President’s Cup

    A combined Border team posted a huge 48,554 team score, the highest score in 15 years to blow their provincial opponents away and win the 35 year old President’s Cup, for only the third time in the 41 year history of the event.

    Nahoon Reef delivered epic 4-6 foot offshore surf for the first day of the 41st edition of the 2007 South African Surfing Championships on Thursday, as warm weather and clear skies surf greeted competitors in East London.  

Best Grommet Games Yet

The 2007 Reef Wetsuits SA Grommet Games, presented by Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism and supported by funding from Sport and Recreation South Africa, was completed at the Pipe, Pollock Beach in Port Elizabeth Sunday (April 8), and was by far the most successful in the sixteen year history of the tournament.

Friendly City Grommet Games

Pollock Beach in Port Elizabeth will play host to Surfing South Africa’s premier entry-level surf tournament, when the 2007 Reef Wetsuits SA Grommet Games takes place from April 5 to 8.

Junior World Surf Team Announced

The Board of Directors of Surfing South Africa have announced the South African Junior team which will compete in the 2007 Quiksilver ISA World Junior Championships in Costa Da Caparika, Portugal from May 6 to 14 next year.
