North West University (Potchefstroom) athlete Tamzin Thomas grabbed the 100m title in the  senior main event at the Athletics South Africa GrandPrix 3 Continental Tour Challenger in Potchefstroom on Wednesday, 26 April 2023.

Thomas finished the race in 11.49s and was followed by Reabetswe Moloi in 11.67s and Kubheka Phindile in third in 11.67s.

In the javelin throw event, Jo-Ané van Dyk took first place with a throw of 57.64m, Jana van Schalkwyk followed in second with a distance of 55.75m and Clarissa Weyer in third – 48.70m.

Marione Fourie topped the charts in the 100mH, taking first place in 13.01s. Taylon Bieldt earned second spot in 13.10s, while Megan Newton rounded up the top three in 14.38s.
