Tatjana Schoenmaker Wins Big at SA Sport Awards

Double Olympic medalist, Tatjana Schoenmaker, received the biggest nod at the annual SA Sport Awards as she claimed three accolades on Saturday, 12 March 2022.

Schoenmaker was honoured with the Sport Star, Sportswoman of the Year and Shield of Jove accolades at the 15^th edition of the awards ceremony.

Anruné Liebenberg-Weyers, who won gold at the Tokyo Paralympics in the women’s 400m(T47), was honoured with Sportswoman of the Year with a Disability Award.

Newcomer of the Year was awarded to Miné de Klerk, who won gold at the 2021 World Athletics U20 Championships,.

Former Netball South Africa President, Ntambi Ravele, and the late Lynette Ferreira who was involved in netball for 27 years, received the Steve Tshwete Lifetime Achievement Award.
