Top Athletes in Bloem Matha Series

fMlambo, who was recently selected by ASA for the SA marathon team to the world championships in Osaka, Japan later this year, says that she will use the Nedbank race as part of her preparations and training for the world event.

Poppy made her debut to marathon running at this year’s Nedbank SA Marathon Championships in Port Elizabeth in a winning time of 2:39.19.  She says that she is in good shape, and is looking forward to the event.

So with some of SA’s leading road athletes are rushing to confirm their participation in the Nedbank Bloemfontein Matha Series, ASA is urging runners from the Bloemfontein clubs to get their entries in before the closing date on 16 April.

The Nedbank Matha Series in Bloemfontein on 21 April is open to runners of all standards, and presents an ideal opportunity for local runners to rub shoulders with some of South Africa’s finest athletes.

Athletes may enter online at  the Nedbank Sport website, or from sports shops in Bloemfontein, and entries will also be accepted at the Free State Athletics office.
