SPAR Proteas player Tshina Mdau believes that South Africans should be showing more support towards women in all sporting codes.
Speaking to gsport at the official launch of the Telkom #StandTall event on Wednesday, 8 February in Johannesburg, Mdau said:
“I believe, as South Africans, we just need to support each other by just speaking about netball – not only netball, actually – all different sporting codes, whether it’s cricket, soccer, softball waterpolo, all the sports that we have.
“The more that we talk about it, that will be the stepping to opening up the conversations to inspire the next generation,” she concluded.
Mdau is one of the ambassadors for Telkom’s #StandTall campaign ahead of the 2023 Netball World Cup in Cape Town.
