Following a well-run league, the FFIL is preparing for the semi-finals that will see the top four teams battle it out for the finals and be crowned champions for 2018.
It has been an interesting, yet challenging, season for the participating teams who braved the cold winter nights whilst balancing academics in the attempt to see women football emerging at the top whilst extra-ordinary talent is being realised.
The FFIL started in 2017 as an annual league run by #TUTMLS Sport management 3rd year students as their annual practical logbook assignment.
It should be mentioned that the 2018 season would not have been possible if it were not for the support from the TUT Directorate of Sport and Recreation and various partnerships, who have assisted with facilities and various sponsorships.
The semi-finals and finals of the league will be held at Laduma Fields at TUT Pretoria West Campus during the last week of August.
The leading ladies, whose performance has been impeccable throughout the season, will also be recognized during the finals’ award ceremony. It surely is a good way to conclude women’s month with a bang!
