Ugandan international Phionah Nabbumba has signed for Danish club, Boldklubben of 1893 from She Corporate FC, as announced on Friday, 24 February 2023.
This move was confirmed by the club after signing all the necessary documents for the dynamic midfielder.
Nabbumba stated: “It’s a pleasure for me to become part of the club. First of all, it is a big club with big ambitions. My hopes for the time here are high.
“It is the first time l play in a club outside my country. My expectations are to guide the team to titles. I am ready to work hard with my teammates so that we win and win trophies.”
Meanwhile, her new head coach, Rasmus Good described her as, “an experienced player who will help the team to win more.
“She won the FUFA Women Super League Title last season with She Corporate and was crowned as the league’s most Valuable player.
“She is a player with really good experience from international football that we are adding to the squad and hopefully she will be a player with a lot of impact who can help us achieve even more.”
The 22-year-old has also featured for other teams such as Rines SS and Ajax Queens.
She is the second player from She Corporate to join the same club, after Ugandan teammate Vanessa Karungi joined the club last year.
Nabbumba will dawn the number 3 shirt ahead of new season.
