Vasco da Gama walked away with a R200 000 cash prize after beating City Lads 4-3 in a mouth-watering Sasol League National Championships final at King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday, 13 February 2022.
Goals from Miche Minnies, Chantay Norris and Roxanne Barker guided the Western Cape-based side to victory.
Runners-up City Lads received R100 000 for their sterling efforts as both teams will now play in the Hollywoodbets Super League in the upcoming season.
The hosts, Lindelani Ladies, will receive R60 000 after they finished third in the Championships, while Croesus Ladies from Gauteng, who finished in fourth position, will receive R40 000.
