Wade Looking to Inspire Bantwana into Next Round of World Cup Qualifiers

Bantwana captain Jessica Wade will be hoping to motivate her teammates this coming Saturday, 14 March 2020, when the team take on Zambia in their 2nd leg of FIFA U-17 World Cup qualifiers.

The South African U-17 Women’s National team are currently 2-0 down to Zambia and will be hoping to turn things around when the two nations meet on Saturday afternoon at Bidvest Stadium. This match will be played at 15h00.

Wade, who is the current U17 team captain will be hoping to inspire her team to progress to the next round of qualifiers, where they will hopefully qualify for their second consecutive FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

“I believe that we have the quality to come back from this setback and I personally want to play in my second U-17 World Cup. We are putting a lot of work into training and we as players are strategizing on the side to ensure that we get the results we need on Saturday;”said Wade.

“We as young footballers have a lot of challenges facing us, like ensuring that we keep up with school, building new relationships with each other and trying to understand what the coaching staff demands from us, but if we can keep the motivated, positive and disciplined we can conquer any challenges that come our way;”concluded Wade.
