Wales most capped netball player Suzy Drane has announced her retirement from International netball after 20 years of representing her country, as reported on Wednesday, 21 December 2022.

In a series of twitter posts Drane wrote, “It has been an amazing journey and I am excited for the next chapter! I am incredibly grateful for the experiences memories, people and travels along the way.”
The 31-year-old has made 125 appearances for her country, making her the most capped player.

In June 2019, Drane reached her 100th-cap milestone, after captaining her team to a 72-53 win over Grenada.
She made her debut back in 2005 against Jamaica and has played in three World Cups and four Commonwealth Games.
The Welsh co-captain ends off her career having helped Wales qualify for the 2023 Netball World Cup, that is set to take place in Cape Town, South Africa.
