Rising South African track and field athletes continued to shine on Day 2 of the ASA Youth and Junior Championships at the Msunduzi Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on Friday, 24 March 2023.
On the track, Precious Molepo of Athletics Gauteng North (AGN) took gold in the Under-19 400m final with a time of 0:54.06.
In the Under-17 girls 400m race Colene Scheepers from AGN also walked away with gold with a time of 0:53.92, while Davida Strong form Central Gauteng Athletics took gold in the Under-15 girls 400m race with a time of 0:56.27.
Elsewhere, Heidi Boooysen took gold in the girls discus with a distance of 44.96m.
