South Africa’s Zenéy van der Walt has earned the number one spot on the latest Senior African Women’s hurdles rankings released on Thursday, 17 November 2022.
Van der Walt is the first on the list of Africa’s Top 10 in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.47 seconds.
In June 2022, van der Walt participated at the African Championships in Port Louis, Mauritius and grabbed gold medals in the 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay with a time of 56.00 and 3:29.34, respectively.
She also proudly represented South Africa at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and won bronze medal in the women’s 400m hurdles.
The 22-year-old together with compatriots Taylon Bieldt and Wenda Nel take up the top three on the list.
