Included in the 19 contracts is the national women’s team captain, Mary-Anne Musonda and her vice-captain, Josephine Nkomo.

ZC Director of Cricket, Hamilton Masakadza said: “This is part of our commitment to the growth and development of our women’s game, we are pleased to confirm the awarding of central contracts to a talented group of 19 players.”
Ahead of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier which will be held in the United Arab Emirates in September, the Director says: “This will not only boost the morale of our players but will also allow them to fully focus on their game ahead of a crucial period for our national team.”

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2022 to be held in the United Arab Emirates will take place from 18-25 September.

The Zimbabwe Women’s ongoing preparations include a tour to South Africa, where they will play five Twenty20 matches against the South Africa Emerging Women’s team in Pretoria at the end of August.
