New comers JVW fought hard against Tshwane University of Technology but were full value of their ultimate 2 -0 win over the Pretoria-based students.
Ma-Indies FC were the biggest winners of the weekend by walloping Tsunami Queens 5-1 while the University of Johannesburg suffered their second loss of the season against Golden Ladies FC, who beat them 1-0 away from home.
Richmond United, who started the season on a good note, lost their second match 2-3 against Bloemfontein Celtic while struggling Durban Ladies lost their fifth consecutive match 2-1 to Coal City Wizards.
