121 Goals Scored in First 5 Weeks of Hollywoodbets Super League

The Hollywoodbets Super League has so far recorded a maximum of 121 goals scored in the first 5 weeks of the season, underscoring the excitement and growing in stature of the women’s game.

Such is the popularity of the Hollywoodbets league that the viewership numbers on SABC has skyrocketed to close to 2 million per match.

Reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies went to the top of the log standings after thrashing Thunderbirds from the Eastern Cape 4-1 while First Touch Academy moved second on the log standings after securing a late equaliser against the University of the Western Cape in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw.

New comers JVW fought hard against Tshwane University of Technology but were full value of their ultimate 2 -0 win over the Pretoria-based students.

Ma-Indies FC were the biggest winners of the weekend by walloping Tsunami Queens 5-1 while the University of Johannesburg suffered their second loss of the season against Golden Ladies FC, who beat them 1-0 away from home.

Richmond United, who started the season on a good note, lost their second match 2-3 against Bloemfontein Celtic while struggling Durban Ladies lost their fifth consecutive match 2-1 to Coal City Wizards.
