Pretoria, Wednesday, 23rd August 2006 – The first 8 000 entrants to complete the SPAR Women’s 10 km Challenge on Saturday August 26 will receive a medal and a SPAR bag stuffed with a variety of goodies.

Banyana Banyana, South Africa’s national women’s soccer team, has started their 2006 COSAFA Cup campaign with a 9-0 win over Lesotho.

Striker Joanne Solomons scored a hat trick and captain Portia Modise picked up a brace as the national women’s soccer team, Banyana Banyana, thumped Lesotho 9-nil in their opening COSAFA Cup encounter in Zambia yesterday.
