Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies produced the standout performance of the second day as they swept aside Richmond United Ladies 5-0 in one of three fixtures staged on Saturday, with the Hollywoodbets Super League Week 3 Festival continuing to deliver goals at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, on Saturday, 27 June 2026.
Day two carried the festival across both the Super Era and Super Rise streams, and it belonged firmly to the favourites. Two of the three winners kept clean sheets, and a single afternoon laid bare the gap that the competition’s strongest sides can open up when they find their rhythm in front of goal. The day added ten goals of its own to the eleven the festival had produced across Friday’s two openers, keeping its free-scoring character intact.
The headline result came in the Super Era, where Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies overwhelmed Richmond United Ladies with a five-goal display. Sundowns controlled possession from the outset and, despite an early caution for Lelona Daweti, were always the likelier side to score.
Daweti duly broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute, and Nonhlanhla Mthandi struck again barely a minute later to put Sundowns two goals clear at the interval. A raft of changes after the hour did nothing to slow the rhythm, as captain Lebohang Ramalepe extended the lead in the 60th minute, Noxolo Cesane made it four on 73 minutes, and substitute Boitumelo Rabale completed the rout six minutes into stoppage time.

The win stretched Sundowns’ commanding advantage in a fixture they have now won the overwhelming majority of times.
Earlier, the University of Pretoria opened the Super Era programme with a composed 2-0 win over the University of the Western Cape. The match remained goalless through a cagey first half before Siyamthanda Qashani settled it two minutes after the restart, finishing in the 47th minute.

The University of the Western Cape pressed for a way back and reshuffled through a series of substitutions, but amaTuks held firm and made the points safe when substitute Pulane Moloi struck in the 70th minute. The result was a notable one for the Pretoria students in a meeting that had so often been tight, with several of the sides’ previous encounters ending goalless.
The day had opened in the Super Rise stream, where JVW FC edged Ezemvelo Women’s FC 2-1 in the morning’s closest contest, the only one of the day’s three fixtures in which the losing side managed to score.

All three goals arrived inside a frantic opening half-hour. Bonolo Mokoma gave JVW an early lead in the 10th minute and Bongiwe Thusi doubled it from the penalty spot on 20 minutes, only for Kholeka Bhengu to pull one back for Ezemvelo a minute later.
The remainder of the contest was a tighter, more combative affair, punctuated by a string of cautions, but JVW saw it out to protect their advantage and preserve an unbeaten head-to-head record against Ezemvelo Women’s FC.
