Harmony runners dominated the weekend’s City to City Heritage Ultra Marathon, with a comfortable win by Thabitha TsaTsa over Liberty’s Riana van Niekerk in the women’s 50km event.
Tsatsa took the ribbon a clear 2½ minutes before van Niekerk, and won herself a cool R50,000 for her first placing in this popular ultra-marathon.
Tsatsa beat pre-race contenders Yolandi MacLean, Sarah Jane Khumalo and defending champion Phaulinah Phaho, none of whom managed to place in the top 10 prize-winning spots.
