Long-distance runner, Annie Bothma, set a new PB record at the Sanlam Cape Town Virtual Marathon on Sunday, 18 October 2020.
Bothma crossed the finish line in a time of 02:33:35 as she raced in the City of Cape Town.

This year, runners ran in different cities across South Africa to limit large gatherings due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic.
Each of the runners’ progress was captured via the Sanlam Cape Town Virtual Marathon app.
Ann Ashworth was the top women’s runner in Potchefstroom with a time of 02:41:51 and Charne Bosman in Pretoria, recording 02:56:18.
