Adventure Boot Camp, an action-packed outdoor fitness programme for women, is the latest craze taking South Africa by storm, and organisers will be in full swing in Simon’s Town on Sunday, 17 February 2008, at the Puma Peninsula Marathon, demonstrating what Adventure Boot Camp has to offer.
According to Huenu Solsona, Director of Adventure Boot Camp, this is a fun way for women to get fit and shake off those extra kilos. "Our mission is to inspire and motivate all women throughout South Africa by providing a fun and innovative alternative to conventional exercise programmes along with encouragement and useful information.
"This enables them to create positive changes within themselves, both physically and mentally," says Solsona. "I brought the idea over from North America as I lived in Canada for four years before returning to South Africa. The fitness boot camp concept originated in the States and I was the first to bring it home, holding our first Camp at Kirstenbosch Gardens in September 2005."

The classes will involve a warm-up, simple circuit, some group activities, stretching and lots of laughing and good times, under the Adventure Boot Camp trainers are qualified either as Personal Trainers or Group Fitness Trainers and are certified by professional and recognized institutions.
