South African born tennis player Chanel Simmonds, who is currently based in USA, was crowned the Ojai Tennis Tournament women’s single champion at Libbey Park in California on Sunday, 30 April 2023.
The Ojai Tennis Tournament is one of the oldest tournaments in the United States, the 121st tournament took place from 26-30 April 2023.
The top-seeded Simmonds defeated Leyden Games 6-1, 6-2 in the final.
Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Simmonds wrote: “Enjoyed every moment of competing at the Ojai special event.”
