Runners and walkers have eagerly started counting down the days to the Totalsports Women’s Race that will hit the streets of Durban on Sunday, 22 July 2018 with eager entrants ready to #RunUnited in support of PinkDrive.
“We are excited to kick off the action of the 2018 Totalsports Women’s Race in Durban,” says Patrick Singh, Head of Totalsports Marketing. “Sport has the power to change lives and the Totalsports Women’s Race is an example of one of these initiatives that provides Totalsports with the opportunity to celebrate, educate and inspire participants to take action and raise awareness around breast cancer through running.

The Totalsports Women’s Race proudly supports PinkDrive, a Non-Profit Company (NPC) that is committed to improving breast cancer awareness, education, and providing and offering free services to the medically uninsured across South Africa.

The following ROAD CLOSURES will apply on event day (between 06:30 – 11:00):
- Masabalala Yengwa (NMR Ave) between Goble and Walter Gilbert (both sides)
- Athlone Drive West bound
- Snell Parade North bound
- Battery Beach East bound
- Y. south bound between Battery Beach and Walter Gilbert.
PRIZE PURSE: The 2018 Totalsports Women’s Race Durban (10km race) boasts a R41 200 prize purse. Prize money has been allocated to the top 8 finishers in the Open Category with the winner taking home a whopping R10 000. The top 8 runners in the Junior Category will also be awarded for their efforts, while the top 3 finishers in the age categories 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+ will also not go home empty-handed.
Each entrant will receive a fitted Event T-shirt, a finisher’s bracelet, a Totalsports head scarf and can look forward to an exhilarating live performance by Dladla Mshunqisi.
