Kenya’s Faith Kipyegon added to her illustrious list of achievements as she bagged a World Record to feature alongside her two Olympic golds and two world titles.
On Friday, 2 June, Kipyegon completed her set of the highest accomplishments in her sport, breaking the world 1500m record (3:49.11) at the Golden Gala meeting in Florence.
The 29-year-old is now one of only five athletes who have dominated at every level in their track and field specialism – an individual world champion at U18, U20 and senior level – and set a senior world record.
