Pole sports champion, Julie Fowler, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help get her to the World Pole Sports Championships in Spain this July.
Fowler recently took first place in the Elite Pole Sports division of the National Pole Competition, to qualify for the World Pole Sports Championships to be held in Spain next month.
She is seeking funds or any form of assistance to help with her journey to the Worlds. Go to www.backabuddy.co.za to help make her dream come true. Fowler has already raised R5000.
Pole sports is a demanding physical activity that is performed on a vertical pole. The South African Pole Sports Federation was set up specifically to maintain and develop the standards within the pole fitness industry in South Africa.
Athletes succeed in this sport if they train consistently within professional training centres, alongside qualified coaches. Pole fitness classes are a reputable form of exercise that everyone can participate in. This sport requires strength, flexibility, power, agility and athleticism.
The vision of the South African Pole Sports Federation is to work in synergy with all pole sports professionals in South Africa who share the common goal of growing pole sports nationally and internationally.
The SAPSF is working alongside the International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF) to develop pole sports to a point where it can be regarded, by majority, as highly respected competitive sports discipline.
The South African Federation manages Pole Sports within the country and is in charge of the organising the National Pole Competition amongst other events. The SAPSF will be seeking recognition from SASCOC in the near future.
