Gabby Thomas Equals Allyson Felix’s Meeting Record at Doha Diamond League

USA’s Gabby Thomas surged past Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson to win the women’s 200m race at the Doha Diamond League event on Friday, 13 May 2022.

Jackson looked set to open with victory only for Thomas to take the lead in the last 20 metres to match Allyson Felix’s meeting record with an impressive early season 21.98 seconds.

“I was nervous, but I feel great now,” revealed Thomas after her victory.

“It is such a great feeling to play here with the crowd. It gives me good energy, it is beautiful to be here in Doha,” she concluded.
