The Zimbabwe Netball Association signs a lucrative deal with Spar which will see the supermarket retailer fund the Zimbabwe Netball Gems camps, high-performance training and kits.
The sponsorship comes at a time where the national netball team are aiming towards qualifying for the 2023 Netball World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa.
In addition, Spar Zimbabwe will be also taking an initiative towards sustainable development of grassroots netball development in local communities.
The sponsorship deal was necessitated by the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee through the “Friends of ZOC initiative”.
ZINA President Leticia Chipandu assured Spar that the association will put all their efforts towards qualifying for the 2023 Netball World Cup.
“We are grateful to Spar Zimbabwe for this support and we will put our all to qualify for the World Cup. We are also excited that the prestigious competition will be held on the African continent and the Zimbabwe Netball Gems have to be present,” Chipandu concluded.
