Naomi Osaka, the world’s highest paid sportswoman with an annual sponsorship portfolio of 50 million Euros, launches her own agency, Evolve, in an unprecedented move for a top athlete.

The four-time Grand Slam champion will become the first female athlete to take full control of her business endeavours.

According to her agent Stuart Duguid: “Evolve isn’t aiming to be a large agency, the company looks at taking one or two other athletes and the agency is mostly about building Naomi’s business.”

The 24-year-old posted on her Instagram, saying: “Hey kid, you’ve come a long way and even though there have been bumps on the road I hope you know you’re doing amazing.

“I have spent my career doing things my way, even when people told me that it wasn’t what was expected or traditional. EVOLVE is the natural next step in my journey as both an athlete and businesswoman,” she concluded.
