Glenrose Xaba completed the ASA 10km National Cross Country Championships in a time of 32:43 to win the coveted national crown at the Bersig Academy Sports Field in Rustenburg, North West on Saturday, 17 September 2022.
Top athletes from around the country came out to perform at the championships, but it was Xaba who managed to hold on and walk away with gold honours.
Coming in second, Cacisile Sosibo took silver in a time of 33:54, while Kesa Molotsane from Athletics Free State rounded up the top three in 35:08.
Xaba previously went for gold in the women’s SA 20km Championships in August this year, whereas Molotsane got her Personal Best in October 2021 with a time of 32:51.
Sosibo previously won the 10km during the Central Gauteng Athletics Half-Marathon in May 2022.
