Two-time world champion Hellen Obiri clocked a new 10k road personal best and course record to win the Great Manchester Run in the United Kingdom on Sunday, 22 May 2022.
Another notable performance came from Eilish McColgan who finished second in 30:19 smashing the European and Great British record.

Kenya’s national champion in the 10,000m, Ruth Chepngetich, was forced to settle for third place in a time of 30:29.
In the half marathon event, British athletes completed a podium finish as Sarah Webster, Kelly Edwards and Alice Daniel finished first, second and third, respectively.
