India Women U19 have taken a 2-0 T20I series lead, after beating SA U19 by 4 wickets at Steyn City School Ground in Pretoria on Monday, 02 January 2023.

South Africa had won the toss and elected to bat first, where they managed to register 86/9 in 20 overs.

Elandri Janse van Rensburg was bowled out for 17 runs after 4.1 overs, while Simone Lourens only managed 9 runs and was sent back to the stands after 7.5 overs.

Najla Noushad took 3 wickets for the team, with Falak Naz taking 2.

Chasing 87 runs, India secured the victory by 4 wickets with Shafali Verma top scoring with 29 off 27 balls.

India have sealed the series with a 2-0 lead. The second and third matches were both abandoned due to persistent rain.
