“I am honoured to have this opportunity and I look forward to helping the team make the country proud” – SA Women’s Hockey Team Interim Coach, Nkuliso “Inky” Zondi
Zondi will be assisted by current SA U21 Women’s Head Coach, Lenise Marais, who will focus on her task once the Junior World Cup in Potchefstroom is complete in December.
This year, Zondi was part of the management team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
“We have a lot to do, to achieve and to focus on what’s important for me to make the most of the situation we are in and the opportunity we have,” revealed Zondi upon his appointment.
“I have had an incredible privilege of being involved in the national teams for the past couple of years. I am honoured to have this opportunity and I look forward to helping the team make the country proud.”
Zondi is currently head coach of the women’s program at Tuks University, where the team has won four consecutive USSA tournaments under his supervision.
