For the fifth consecutive year PricewaterhouseCoopers will sponsor the prestigious annual Inter-Provincial team squash championships for men and women, to be hosted in Port Elizabeth from 9th-13th July.
Competition will be razor-edged in the Kaplan Cup for women, as Western Province (with three consecutive wins since 2004) having national Champion Tenille Swartz as their number 1.
Their well-balanced side including Karen van der Westhuizen, Siyoli Lusaseni, National under 19 champion Milnay Louw, and Sacha West secures them the number 1 seeding.
In second slot is Northerns with Farrah Fenner, presently ranked number 1 nationally in the top slot. Seeded third is Gauteng who last won the title in 2003.
Annelize Naude, a graduate from University of Johannesburg, now resident in the Netherlands and ranked 17 in the world, has considerably strengthened fourth seeds Easterns, whose team also includes top-rated Angie Clifton-Parks.
KwaZulu-Natal A and Eastern Province A complete the 6-team field, which will play in a round robin format, with matches to be played in morning and afternoon sessions, at Londt Park and Westview Clubs.
