Kesa Molotsane, a rising administrator, accomplished athlete, and fervent advocate for women’s sport, passionately dedicates herself to inspiring the next generation through her tireless efforts, as she works towards formally opening the Kesa Molotsane Foundation when the time is right.
In early November 2023, Molotsane, amidst her annual schools’ leadership and sanitary towel drive, orchestrated two impactful school visits. Reflecting on these moments, she shared on Instagram: “I was privileged and highly honoured to partake in the HTS Lous Botha Sports Awards and the Man Primary School Grade 7 Farewell and Prize Giving.”
“Throughout years of engaging with diverse schools, I’ve discovered myriad ways to ignite the flame of excellence. These encounters taught me valuable lessons about self-discovery, reinforcing my brand, and understanding the individuals I serve,” Molotsane said.
Her journey resonates with the power of sincere and selfless contribution, determined to mould young minds for the better. Despite hurdles faced along the way, Molotsane’s unwavering resolve echoes, “Though we’ve encountered setbacks, we’ve never been defeated.”
A former recipient of the gsport Public Choice Award and a past judge at the Momentum gsport Awards, Molotsane showcases her versatility by representing the Athletes Commission of Athletics South Africa. Even amidst these responsibilities, she continues to excel as an athlete, inspiring the youth as a prominent role model.
In her words of advice to the youth, Molotsane passionately advocates, “We should continually strive for greatness in all endeavours. Embrace versatility and commit to learning something new daily; that knowledge might prove invaluable one day.”
She reflects on her journey, mentioning, “By respecting and nurturing my running skills, I equipped myself with essential leadership skills to nurture, expand, and promote athletics as a career. Implementing my ideas to make sports appealing to youngsters within the school system was the final piece.”
Her vision extends further, envisioning a future where her foundation is launched and thriving, inspiring countless more youths to embrace sports, leadership, and self-development as a pathway to greatness.
