Momentum gsport Awards’ most celebrated athlete Kgothatso Montjane and her partner Yui Kamiji bagged the French Open doubles title on Saturday, 10 June 2023.

Montjane and Kamiji defeated Diede de Groot and Maria Florencia Moreno 6-2, 6-3 in the final round.

The 37-year-old will be delighted as she claims her first Grand Slam title honours.

In a previous interview with Robert Marawa, Montjane mentioned her desire to win a Grand Slam title, saying: “I want to win a Grand Slam to validate everything so that is my motivation.”
