Erika Kleynhans became SA’s final athlete to compete in the 2006 IAAF World Junior Championships, when she placed sixth in the second heat, and failed to qualify for this afternoon’s final.
Kleynhans is South Africa’s junior 100m hurdles champion, and her efforts in Beijing have seen her improve her personal best time for her event, during heats on Thursday.
The 18-year-old from Middelburg, Mpumalanga, posted her career best yesterday, with a 14.07s for the event.
