ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 leading run scorer, Laura Wolvaardt, has signed up to play in three exhibition matches, designed as a soft launch for the inaugural Pakistan Women’s League set to start in September.
The matches are scheduled to take place from 8-11 March, where Wolvaardt features in the Super Women squad.
The 23-year-old Momentum Proteas opening batswoman has come off from a stellar debut T20 World Cup campaign, where she concluded with a total of 230 runs – 22 fours and 5 sixes, which made her the player who hit the most sixes throughout the tournament.
She also scored three half centuries against England (53), Bangladesh (66), and Australia (61).
Wolvaardt also featured in the Most Valuable Team of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, alongside national team-mates, Tazmin Brits and Shabnim Ismail.
