South African match officials Giana Viljoen and Zoë Naudé have been appointed for the World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series by World Rugby as announced on Tuesday, 28 February 2023.

Viljoen and Naudé will officiate the competition that is scheduled to take place over two three-day weekends in Stellenbosch, South Africa on 20-22 and 28-30, April 2023.

The women’s competition will be overseen by a total of six match officials from five countries at Markotter stadium.

The Sevens World Series 2024, the pinnacle of international rugby sevens, will be automatically promoted for the winner of the 12-team women’s Challenger Series.
