Proteas Women captain Laura Wolvaardt has reclaimed the No.1 spot on the ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings for batters after consistent performances, including scores of 59* and 35 in the ongoing ODI series against England secured her rise.
This is not her first time at the top; she previously achieved the rank during the 2022 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Chloe Tryon also made a significant leap in the rankings, climbing eight spots to reach 17th after her 45-run innings in the second ODI against England.

Marizanne Kapp moved to sixth place in the ODI bowler rankings after taking four wickets in the first two games of the series against England, to remain the leading all-rounder in the ODI rankings, underscoring her consistent impact in both batting and bowling.
The South African women’s team will play the third and final ODI against England on December 11 at JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom. This match is part of the ICC Women’s Championship series, with South Africa aiming to secure a series win.
