Paralympic star Louzanne Coetzee is aiming to start a foundation to empower other disabled athletes.

The 2022 Momentum gsport Awards Brand SA Para Sport Star of the Year finalist wants to support para-athletes as she has made a call to all para-athletes to grab the opportunity with both hands.

Coetzee, who serves on the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) Athletes Commission, will make use of this role to close the gap in development for para-athletes.

The 29-year-old will also work with organisations such as the Free State Sport Association for the Physically Disabled and Visually Impaired and the foundation will start generating funds to assist athletes.
