Captain Katlego Malebane was named Player of the Tournament. Malebane revealed her views to sundownsfc.co.za, saying: “It’s a privilege to be named as the most outstanding player. I couldn’t have gained this recognition without the support  of my teammates, coaches and technical staff. Thanks to my family also for their continuous support.”

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies midfielder Lerato Kgasago, who was also present on the day to show support, said the following: “This victory amplifies the efforts of Mamelodi Sundowns in promoting grassroots football across South Africa.  I am very proud of the girls who have already bought into the club’s winning philosophy.
