Maties, UJ, NWU and UFS Through to 2022 Varsity Netball Semi-Finals

University of Stellenbosch, University of Johannesburg, North West University and University of the Free State have progressed to the semi-final round of the 2022 Varsity Netball, with the champions set to be crowned on Monday, 10 October.

Maties, who are current log leaders, will take on UJ in their semi-final clash, while NWU will face Kovies.

The Maroon Machines continued their unbeaten streak to remain at the summit of the standings. They secured their spot in the semi’s beating Western Cape neighbour’s UWC 65-33.

An epic Gauteng derby saw the Orange Army (UJ) advance to the semi’s after beating University of Pretoria 53-51 in what was a tight battle.

An incredible comeback from the University of the Free State in the final quarter saw them grab a crucial 65-60 victory over North West University as they secured third-place on the log.
