The All-African Badminton Championship ended on Sunday at the Badminton National Centre in Rose Hill outside Port Louis, with South Africa in good stead.

Badminton South Africa benefitted from good performances by it’s women, as Michelle Edwards teamed up with Chantal Botts to win the Women’s Doubles in Mauritius.

Edwards shared the Silver medal with Chris Debman in the Mixed Doubles, while Kerry Lee Harrington was beaten by Nigeria’s Grace Daniel in the Singles Final, earning another Silver for SA.

Final Results: Women’s Singles:
Grace Daniel (Nigeria) beat Kerry Lee Harrington (SA)

Women’s Doubles:
Michelle Edwards and Chantal Botts (SA) beat Grace Daniel (Nigeria) and Karen Foo Kune (Mauritius)

Mixed Doubles:
Georgie Cupidon and Juliette Ah-Wan (Seychelles) beat Chris Debman and Michelle Edwards (SA)
