Former Regional Secretary of SAFA Mangaung, Mosa Dladla, has been appointed as SAFA Provincial Executive Officer in the Free State.
Dladla takes over the reigns from her mentor, Moremi Klip, who previously took her under his wings.
Dladla holds a Degree in Sports Management, Degree in Project Management and FIFA Administration Certificate, which will add value in the development of football in the province..
Speaking to gsport, Dladla shares about her new appointment, saying: “I honestly had mixed emotions. I was happy that I get to occupy and take on such a huge challenge, because we really can’t grow from being in one position and I also felt a sense of fear and anxiety in that.
“I questioned myself if I’ll be able to carry out and face all the challenges that come with the job, but the support around me, both at home and at work has really been unbelievably heart-warming.”
Dladla went on to share what her appointment means for the future of women in administration.
“Rising women in football administration should go after and chase their dream. It’s very sad in sport that we think that anyone can do this, but it requires passion and dedication and they don’t have that, they will get bored and quit.”
She advised: “Learn as much as much as you can, have passion because with it, you can stand through the toughest tests.”
Dladla, who has taken over Klip’s position, speaks about his role in her journey: “My mentor and guardian in football administration, Moremi Klip. He took me under his wings for a very long time and I’m always in awe of his passion and understanding of the world of football.
“I have learnt from him, he has done an amazing job with the provincial structure,” she concluded.
